S. Korean officer commanding a hill that has been lost and retaken dozens of times is killed by "friendly fire." A lieutenant in trouble w/his superior for insubordination is sent on what may well be a suicide mission--- find out if there is a traitor or spy responsible and terminate him.
This 2011 film is a psychological examination of what long-term battle pressures do to men, and also a questioning look at that civil war in particular, and perhaps war, in general do.
The performances are good, cinematography competent--- but, it's the ideas that will stay with you.
