Kind of a delightful mish-mash of a French made romanedy will dolops of drama folded in. Enter Melanie Laurent as the youngest daughter of Michel Blanc who is hamstrung by her relationship which becomes further complicated after he and his second wife announce her pregnancy. Blanc is turning 60 and neither Laurent or her half-sister are thrilled at the idea.
Laurent feels estranged from Blanc because of his extensive business travel when she was a child and her sister is rattled that she can't have a child on her own.
Working as a x-ray technician Laurent uses the lab for her x-ray art project which will lead to more troubles down the road after she x-ray's Blanc and immediately suggests he see a cardiologist.
There is a lot of sly humor particularly with Blanc being a non-believing Jew who faces the question of having a pig valve placed inside him. And, with his odd attachment to all of Laurent's old boyfriends whom he keeps in contact on the down-low.
