that in particular I felt had been robbed of winning an award.... I recently re-watched Robert Redford's Ordinary People and was again amazed by Mary Tyler Moore's performance in that film. Perhaps it was because she was playing against type in the film...... Cissy Spacek ended up taking home "gold" that year for "Coal Miner's Daughter". I remember as I watched the ceremony back in 81 how ripped off I felt Moore was.....and upon recent viewing I STILL feel the same way. To be honest though, I have never been a fan of Spacek, who I have always felt was over-rated...... Anyone have any other Oscar loser outrage?
