This is a well-crafted film that looks and plays "big" on a small budget. Jacob has a skin condition which forces him to work at night. As he gets closer to his 25th birthday things start to change and new appetites develop. Enter Mary who is immediately taken with Jacob and does her best to ingratiate and attach herself. As the plot thickens she finds herself in for more than she bargained.
This is a very quiet script with moody lighting and lots of development. It is a different take on the oft-told tale that always seems to have glamor and dazzle. What if ordinary Joe's got the "fever"? Well, this Joe is named Jacob and we see a real street-level perspective of his world.
Good performances, good script, good cinematography. Everything about the film is "maximized" beyond its budget. If you don't like this type of story line don't bother.
