Haneke's films are difficult but worthwhile. I didn't think it was the best movie of the year but I thought that it had some of the best acting and that Jennifer Lawrence wining best actress over Emmanuelle Riva was ridiculous (more of a commentary on JL's role -- I think she will actually deserve an Oscar one of these days).Btw, watch this:
