Good, but clichéd. As though someone was trying to put together a freshman appreciation class of New Orleans music and culture. The story line often takes a back seat to little lessons about Professor Longhair, beignets and Mardi Gras Indians. The acting in the many cameo appearances by semi-famous musicians and chefs is laughably bad.
Still, it's enjoyable. But not quite the quality of most of the other series that you mentioned.
