Delta Psi (led by Efron) moves next door to Rogen, Byrne, and brand new baby daughter for much hijinks and chicanery. (Yes, it is a stupid college-kid movie but the genre belongs us and I proudly claim it.) Almost immediately after the move in the noise and party complaints start flying and an impromptu war of wits (low brow wits) begins.
Efron is the Uber Mensch of the frat whose mind revolves around drinks, drugs, chicks, and mischief. He epitomizes the perfect frat beast. As Rogen describes him: "He looks like something a gay guy designed in a lab." Rogen and Byrne are just settling into parenthood but hate the idea of giving up the party life. They attempt to meld into the frat life to influence their noise levels but fail which leads them into nefarious ploys to stifle the bad boys.
Actually, this is a rather well-developed story with a degree of character development. Rose Byrne has never been cuter especially when cursing and having her breasts milked. Rogen is, well, Rogen but he is propped up by a good cast of seconds.
Unless you like this genre of movie....forget it. If you do love a great American frat throw down then by all means attend.
Trailer is for mature well-seasoned ears.
