Though far less ambitious, both in its reach and Fx, this film from Ecuadorian director Sebastian Cordero ("Chronicles") is terminally thrilling.
Nine astronauts visit Venus to explore whether the perceived ice possibly contains a life form. Clever editing and writing, as well as an excellent cast, elevates this film to a must-see. This film proves that a shoe-string budget needn't produce a down-in-the-heels look or a poor quality film.
