From Miller and Rodriguez. This installment follows on the trail of 'Sin City' using the same main characters and color palette. Art direction is superb and I found the story more coherent compared to the first. As in the first episode there were several stories running simultaneously but this time they seem more closely related. There are really good performances from Rourke, Alba, Green, Boothe, and Gordon-Levitt. Nobody was really slouching so let's say it was a good job all around. The cast was powerhouse and in every moment you saw faces you recognize. Keep in mind this is "artsy" and not dramatic so adjust you expectations.
Sure, violence is a form of artistic expression in these movies so expect it and look forward to it. You won't see much of Eva Green's face because you will be staring at her ample Tetons for most of her scenes. Somebody has to bare it and she was up for the job. Alba was doing her "stripper" act and even attracted the ghost of Bruce Willis. Even Ga-Ga got her cameo in.
This film is for people who saw the first one and liked it. If you didn't like it then it's adios to the box office.
