Swinton and Hiddleston are "married" yet she lives in Tangier and he in decaying Detroit. She socializes with Christopher Marlowe (Hurt) while he only speaks to his "zombie" (Yelchin). Eve detects that her love, Adam, is depressed and she feels the need to visit him in Detroit. While there her much younger and immature sister (Wasikowska) visits and disrupts the entire scene which forces them to send her back to LA and them to retire to Tangier. This is a very beautiful movie with its cinematography and art direction. Never has disarray looked so good as in Adam's Detroit lair. Adam is trying to create new music and Yelchin brings him a set of rare guitars the real music lovers will appreciate. The soundtack is also superb.
Jarmusch could not have picked two more perfect people for his Adam and Eve. Swinton's alabaster Scottish coloration and looks are perfect for a loving and elegant vampire. The brooding Hiddleston knocks it out the park as well. Their care for each other is true romance.
This is a must see on different levels.
