This was a worthy film for suspense lovers. Liam overcomes his age by being mostly a detective and investigator than a Rambo-style man with special skills. It was the right book and script for his bones and joints to play well.
Scudder was an alcoholic cop who shot up three killers and accidentally finished off a seven year old. He quit drinking and quit the force to become an unlicensed PI who works for "gifts".
One of his AA mates came to him to get him to ride out and meet his brother (drug trafficker) whose wife had been kidnapped and returned to him in pieces despite him paying $400K. Dan Stevens (ex-Downton Abbey) wanted Scudder to find his wife's kidnappers and bring them back. Scudder rejected the offer but later changed his mind as the circumstances started to overlap with other kidnappings.
Good story, cinematography, and characters well-acted. It was a very somber feeling film and rightfully so. I believe this is worth a walk in.

- Not bad, but it really seems like a vehicle for AA: why so much attention to the 12 steps, for God's sake! nt - tinear 19:56:26 09/24/14 (0)
