I have to admit, after first ten minutes or so, I wanted to turn it off... not sure what kept me going, but I am glad it did... whatever it was. So if it starts irritating you, step over it and continue watching, you might be rewarded with one of the most unusual films of the decade, deeply philosophical, visually striking and incredibly human.
You might remember its director Jaco Van Dormael for his Toto the Hero, and it makes you wish he was more prolific.
