Picked up "Triangle" on blu ray a couple weeks ago and finally watched it. A very nice low budget horror-type film. It starts out with the brave mother and her autistic child. She drops him off at school and spends the day on a yacht with some friends off the Pacific coast of Florida (The Bermuda Triangle).
What is really nice is you have some actual foreshadowing and symbolism going on where two viewings are required to really appreciate them. The movie has plenty of twists and surprises and massively twisted paradoxes.
One set in particular is the most amazing set I have ever seen. It is the one the wounded woman goes to on the top deck after running from the villain up from the bridge.
Mild Spoilers Follow:
So they are on the yacht and, surprise, a freak storm and the boat sinks only to have a mysterious ocean liner appear and pick them up. The huge ship seems deserted until the bodies start stacking up. Then things get real interesting and mysterious. Many tasty surprises and paradoxes are in store for the lucky viewer. Then, when you think it is done, yet another layer of surprises.
We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming until the next global cooling scare comes along
