That's about all to say about it. We have Ewan McGregor as a Brit fish scientist, Emily Blunt as Corporate Investment handler with a large firm that keeps most of the Sheik's (Amr Waked)doubloons out of trouble. The Sheik was to bring Scottish fly fishing to Yemen and is willing to spend 50m pounds to get it done. Blunt is the front lady in the UK and seeks McGregors expertise. In the very first McGregor say it's not just possible. But, Christin Scoit Thomas get winds of it and needs a GOOD ME story instead of ones about deaths and explosions. She calls the PM and gets him on board of for the Yemeni salmon.
The humor breaks through when w2 million British anglers get work that HM would reqwuire givinng 10K salmon from Brit rivers and streams ear-marked for Yemen.
Romantic conflicts arise as McGregors wife accepts a position in Geneva and will be absent and Blunts new boy friend Special Forces stud get shipped off to Afghanistan. The romances have their part in the comedy romance as both seem to separate and go there own ways.
Salmon is a nicely settled down film. Not too compelling but showing the Brit talent for mixing all kinds of problems together. In the end McGregor and Blunt learn something of life while McGregor's wife not so much.
This seems to be made for a UK audience and was wondering why the USA push. If you are a settled film goer and would like some nice foreign entertainment....then try this. It's not going to raise you blood pressure much as there is only one assassination attack.
