If you're unfamiliar with bizarre psychoanalyst/social commentator Slavoj Zizek, you should be: a highly entertaining guy with a strange sense of humor and a clever film analyst. This excellent cd has an immensely satisfying collection of film clips that are placed into larger context, deconstructed (no mention, specifically, of Derrida, but his shadow is present), and put on the Freudian couch.
Yes, some of Zizek appears to be purposefully controversial and upsetting, but he's never boring and, in this day of boring reviewers, he certainly stands out in the best way.
