I just played the Opera Nixon in China by John Adams. It is full of quotes from Stravinsky, R. Strauss, Wagner, James Brown...It's part of why it's a great piece, he included references to his many influences.
I didn't know about Kim Novac and the ad, interesting.
I'm sorry you and others are upset by it, but I've said my piece.
And I'm sorry for the Jerk comment, it's undeserved.
