Long (2:37), slow, but steady paced and mesmerizing police drama from Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Most of the film takes place at night with two murder suspects leading a police investigation on a wild goose chase throughout the Anatolian countryside looking for the body of their victim. The real focus of the film is the interesting character studies of the various participants of the investigating team in their quest to solve a crime, along with the murder suspects.
There is no sitting on the fence with this film. Either you will love it or hate it. Stick with it and you may be rewarded. Excellent direction, writing and cinematography. I liked it a lot and recommend it to those looking for something out of the ordinary.
