Anyone got Children of Paradise on Blu-Ray yet?

All the screenshots in the online reviews make it look like it's had the life DNR'd out of it. All the characters look like they've stepped out of Madam Tussaud's waxworks. Quite brutal and sad. Pathe France apparently restored the movie, so Criterion couldn't work their usual magic. Not sure if I wanna drop $30 on something that's gonna make me wanna puke.
