Jon Spaiht's original screenplay is now available.

The first half is almost identical to the movie, but there are major differences from that point on. David the android is now the culprit when it comes to infecting Holloway. He acts like the Carter Burke character in Aliens in this respect. Weyland also does not appear. Some of the more silly aspects of the movie are not present (although the self-abortion scene still exists). The ending is also completely different.

The original screenplay is shorter and more coherent than the movie. However, it still does not answer the fundamental questions about the motivations of the Engineers. You can see that the movie was deeply flawed from the beginning.
