Oblivion suffers from a slight plot, but it's not as chaotic (and frankly silly) as Prometheus.
Oblivion's main problem is its lack of originality. There are several scenes which are just copies of other movies. Eg. Star Wars, The Last Battle, Aliens, 2001. And the ending is supposed to be a major revelation, but it just made me think "meh" when it occurred. Having Morgan Freeman walking around in leather bondage gear made me laugh. Most of the action scenes look they were leftovers from the last Transformers movie.
In a word, Oblivion is as forgettable as the previews of other blockbuster movies which preceded it. Overall I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5 rating (Prometheus gets a 2 out of 5 rating).
