I just stumbled over this clip, and I kept thinking to myself - what a roster of films that year produced! And what actors!

Seriously - any of those films truly deserved the Best Film award. Any of those actors was worthy of the Best title.

And then I compared them to the crap that is constantly being discussed here and I nearly wept.

We simply don't get actors like that any more
