A very thoughtful and interesting look at the possible stories behind Pieter Bruegel the Elder's painting of The Procession of Calvary. Rutger Hauer plays the artist who begins to sketch out Christ being taking to Calvary while filling the picture with the unsettled torments of the Spanish occupation of Flanders in 1564.
This is a visual masterpiece with its often used 3D effects and the matching of characters to the painting. If you aren't in the mood for a shoot'em up then choose beatings, whippings, wheelifying, and crucifixion instead--all done with glorious colors and vision.
