If I like a movie, I enjoy it regardless of critical acclaim or disdain (preference for popcorn or caviar makes no difference in respect to personal enjoyment). Of course, opinions on whether to see a movie can be influenced, but that's the nature of consensus reviewing.
That said, it wasn't a bad idea to use a base of Tomato ratings for flavor, but where good taste is concerned there should be more ingredients to choose from (larger selection of reviewed films).
