I expected to fall asleep in this one but it kept me involved to see what the next twist might be. Sure, "home invasion" is a very difficult subject to re-invent and I will admit this one doesn't mind-bend as much as the re-telling proves interesting.
Not hard to figure out: Idris Elba is an escaped convict who appears to be a contrite killer going for parole. He makes his plea (convincing) but is shot down by a parole board member. Elba finds a way to escape and returns to the home of his ex-fiancee where the creepiness begins.
Even though this is readily predictable I find re-tellings interesting. You may not, but if you do wait for cable.
I noticed the Tomatoe Meter registered 13% from the critics but 71% from the audiences. Quite a disparity.
