The setup was a let-down. Yeah, I get that it had to move quickly, but at least they could have ironed out the plot holes.
My main problem, apart from the disjointedness (c'mon - the same characters being shown at THREE different ages?), was the lame-o dialogue. There was a lot of wanky technobabble. It sounded like something from Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Compare this movie to, say, Sunshine, where the scientific concepts were rendered visually. If the Nolans wanted us to understand quantum mechanics and black holes, then why not use all that CGI to show those concepts in effect? MM drawling his way through mumbo-jumbo was not the way to educate an audience. I noticed a lot of the audience checking their iPhones during those talky bits.
I don't know which movie made less sense - Prometheus or Interstellar!
