Two American films for the price of... none

Was it worth it? I'd say the price was about right.
First - "Under Suspicion". Actually not too bad given the director's lame track record. I think it deserves more credit it was given, at the time when lot of true junk is presented as something worthy.
Two wonderful performances and an obligatory sex bombshell, what more do you need to be entertained? Who could forget Monica Belucci whom the Amperican public first (most likely) saw in the predictable cliche Italian melodrama Malena?
Anyway, I would give this one a soft recomendation for its entertainment value.
The second one - The Pledge. Sean Penn's overindulgence in... nothing really. Too much, oh, way too much has been said of that pale work. Penn's attempts at originality mostly mean boredom with his forced shots of nature and running water.
Is there a reason to watch it? But of course - Jack is a true monument of acting skill and he is incredible there. So what the story sucks and plot runs out of steam thirty minutes into the film? He is a raw joy to watch.
I have been searching for his "Profession - Reporter" gem (The Passenger for you yanks...) for two decades now. We saw it when it first came out and fell in love. I would like to revisit my first impression... and can't. No traces of it anywhere on the rental net either.
Anyone seen it lately? To me one of the best Antonioni's there. How could ANYONE not be riveted to the seat by the way the "Girl" moves in the last moments? Or was it really the camera, and not the Girl that moved?
