My principle homo sapien, Mel Brooks, would say this "stinks on ice". This film stunk before the first frame was shot. Chris Hemsworth is certainly making hay while his star shines and it's not his fault this mess got digitized for distribution. Imagine a hacker, built like Thor, can go anywhere in the world, grab a keyboard, and make it his bitch. That on top of a MIT-educated officer in the Chinese army being sent to USA to work on a hacking case that is causing international problems. Throw in a lot of shaky hand held, bad acting, and ridiculous actions scene. (Imagine a fire fight in an enclosed parking garage spiral ramp without ONE ricochet?)
Well, tomaters warned me but I braved it and suffered. Does Michael Mann know his ID has been stolen? Does Hemsworth know his career has been seriously compromised? Is Red Hat going to sue Blackhat?
