Katie Holmes plays a character that really fits her: a traumatized young woman hung in her innocent past. Well, not too innocent...she likes to kill bad people.
Miss Meadows, a teacher sub, moves into a new small town and immediately spreads her white gloved manners and dancing feet all over town. She is the model of propriety until someone crosses the line. Despite that naive personality she has a way of getting away with murder until she marries the town's sheriff.
This is a somewhat interesting "little movie" that is probably aimed at Holmes "talent sweet-spot". She dresses near-storybook and splashes around more innocence than the Flying Nun. If you like Holmes looks (I do) then you'll want to sneak this one into the house and back to Red Box before anyone notices.
