and honing my skills in New Orleans.
A real danger with films such as these. Crime is fun, exciting, and has few consequences unless you are pulling the "big one". Will Smith does his best to convey the art and fun of being a con while falling for his socially-engineered apprentice Margot Robbie.
Glamor, glitz, and very little guilt comes easy and there are some nice turns in this less than dramatic film. The acting meets those requirements and the money spent on production seems lavish. There is a lot of clever and cute (hey, it's Will Smith!) with a baddy or two mainly played by Gerald McRaney.
You get yer laughs and you gets yer ouches but somewhere after mid-point things get magically retold.
Wait for the disk or stream. Not worth a trip to the concession counter.
