Why don't you people warn me about the latest socially-engineered Hollywood propaganda bomb?
Jack Black is a goob trying to get everybody to come to their 20th high school reunion. Jack's such a nerd that not a lot of folks care for him despite how hard he tries. He spots James Marsden in a commercial on television and suddenly decides to pursue him to get him to come. Rationale: Hollywood type comes to reunion--everybody will come to the reunion. Black makes up a phony business deal in LA and his boss (Tambor) insists on coming along.
So far we have the makings of a depraved "buddy movie" until Marsden gets high and declares he's down with men and doesn't like "labels". Uh-oh.
The second night they are out they end up at Marsden's and you know what happens. Marsden acts like no big deal and Black begins to wrestle with his small-town, middle class belief system. For the rest of the film.
I lasted about an hour as this just wasn't for me. The previews just give a clue as to what is going to happen.
I can't rate this film, you can do that for yourself. Some may not appreciate the spoiler but I wished I had seen a spoiler myself.
