I thought Lee was excellent in that scene where Anakin has his light sabers poised to scissor Dooku's head off, and awaiting word from Senator Palpatine. Palpatine says to "kill him". The look on Dooku's face showed just the right amount of shock at being betrayed by his Sith master, just the right amount of horror and, finally, fear. Then off comes his evil head.

The accomplished actor Christopher Lee made that scene work.
