I was wondering why I see certain movies more than 5 times, sometimes more times. Music could be the reason like in Amadeus, West Side Story, Woodstock. Sophisticated gore is another reason like in Night of the Living Dead (original version) Kill Bill, Terminator 2, Godfather, Star Wars. Of course romance is one major reason for Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina, Helen of Troy (Rosanna Podesta version) and by default Emmanuelle. Perhaps Vertigo too. Cinematic brilliance for BenHur and Spartacus. Escape for the Shawshank Redemption and the Great Escape. Two extremes that I watch again and again are Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and One Flew over Cuckoo's Nest. I have watched Shane many times and cried over the ending. Wonder if you have similar experience.
