So, Atlanta is overrun with a Russian-Jewish mob. Winslet runs things with routine ruthlessness and has succeeded with it. Somehow Ejiofor was once married to her younger sister (Gadot) which put Winslet in possession of his son which was the leverage for her to get a once honest police detective to commit crimes for her.
The film opens with a cop-robber heist of a bank for both money and the contents of a certain deposit box. Instead of getting paid and getting his son back he gets stiffed with the Winslet demanding "one more" job.
Ejiofor's crew consisted of two cops and two hard time guys. After their first job the pressure was on to break into a Homeland Security storage facility. The idea was to get some more information Winslet was using to get her husband sprung from prison in Israel. The best way to accomplish it was to kill a cop (code 999) to hijack the police department to answering the call on the other side of town.
Tense, violent, bloody, and filled with ever changing allegiances, this will keep your attention. I was surprised at how many of the large ensemble died....it was worse than Game of Thrones.
This is a guy movie, no doubt. It is grimy and dirty with street criminals everywhere and a Woody Harrelson you are never quite sure about.
