re: Eisenberg. I don't get out much and have only seen one other movie with him in it. A good one, I thought..... The Social Network. So seeing him as Lex Luthor in this flick was different. I can see the irritant. Him attempting to inflect some insanity into his mannerisms actually serves to annoy, or possibly alert, the other characters in the scene. It kind of plays to that in one or two scenes. Evil little prick.! Lex Luthor should be a big brainy criminal. Imagine Javiar Bardem as Lex Luthor. I think he could put some danger and terror into the character. Certainly not Eisenberg.
I'll accept the 'All Nolany'. Though I thought the director's (Snyder)envisioning of Batman and Gotham stands in stark contrast to what Nolan did with it in the last three 'Batman Begins' movies. Snyder seems a tick or two closer to Tim Burton...but with absolutely no humor and quite a lot deadlier. This Batman has maybe accepted that he's a criminal and seems close to allowing his building rage within to flow into his actions. Maniacal. Christian Bale was always measured and in control....well centered. Ben Affleck is about to blow his top.
I'm not exactly a Zack Snyder film fan. But I did like what he did with 300. Not so much Watchmen because I never followed the graphic novels or whatever. The previous Superman movie I didn't watch... This outing with Superman does show a thoughtful caring side to the character, even though he too was boiling over with exasperation if not rage.
I liked the Wonder Woman character. Gal Gadot. I think she was well cast in this role.
Only one (cameo)scene with Aquaman. Jason Mamoa. A few years back he was working his roles on the SyFy channel.
