It always came through no matter what the line or role was. It was just him.
Even if he was playing a corrupt bad ass part like that nasty CIA guy, tracking down the agency drug money in "Two Guns"; a Denzel W and Marky Wahlberg flick in 2013. An odd role for a light touch, but Paxton had that gift of subtle humor riding on top of everything.
