I'm old enough to of seen the Katherine Ross "Stepford Wives" and "Get Out" did have similarities - but to me, I didn't dismiss the film as "been there, done that".I thought "Get Out" captured the subtleties of prejudice and racial stereotyping in a creepy, thought-provoking way.
The entire film had a weary, familiar isolation hanging over the main character - and as I suggested in my original post, *the ending* abandoned the entire concept of what the entire movie was trying to say.
