I had not seen this film since its' initial release. I recall not caring to much for it and preferring Tombstone. Watched it recently and have a new appreciation for it. The characters are gritty and more realistically drawn and the the film is more true to life. Tombstone, by comparison, is more pulp or cartoonish. I loved Val Kilmer's performance in Tombstone but Wyatt Earp as much to offer. Either that or I've just changed over the last couple of decades. :-)
