Not a ha-ha satire.
My rightwing instincts went on holiday while watching this one. That must mean it was well done, thought-provoking, humorous, and entertaining. Granted, this is not a prize winner but an interesting look at human nature when people make bad choices and have to live with them.
The CGI was terrific. The cast was good with special kudos to Hong Chau who played the ever-insistent Vietnamese cleaning woman. Christoph Waltz did his yeomen obnoxious foreigner by playing a downsized Serbian black marketeer. Even Udo Kier was in this one! Colorful casting to be sure.
The story reflects the problems we are facing as a species and the insane solutions pursued with the ever-present social injustices in force.
Many will be better off waiting for cable but I think a walk-in is justified.
