I have friends, quite a few actually, who don't watch it because of political concerns. Seems silly to rob yourself of an evening's entertainment because you don't agree with a few peoples' politics. FWIW, I thought the acceptance speeches last night were conspicuously bereft of politics tho I did fast forward through more than a few of the minor awards speeches.
