The film is called,' Adieu au language" from Jean Luc godard,, or goodbye to language 3D. 2014.
Not easily accessible like a Hollywood flick, a couple seated in front of me walked out early , and I had to do some thinking afterward to realize what had happened, it was a very clever ambush of sound and sight, crafted to trigger emotions.
Rarely projected in 3d, some of the 3d is more than can be easily comprehended, it goes very complex , more than I could see, for a couple of effects, not a lot of three d was used that way , it is not a special effects movie, and is very pretty at times, by intention.
I honestly could only tell it was over when the house lights came up, I was so drawn into the sensation. I guy I talked to said it was Godard's best movie, me I just knew it was a lot to comprehend in one viewing, a puzzle to fit together, with instructions alluded to as they push some books around in the beginning of the film. Of course, I was too dense to get that until i thought about it later, after the movie was over. Towards the end of the movie, one of the actors declares characters are boring, a big key about the construction of the movie because there are people in the movie, but it could also just be a dogs view of the world, at times.
My first impression was , I have just seen the weirdest 3D movie ever.. Then as I thought about it some, realized i had just seen a film constructed to deliver all the usual movie emotions, but using only sight and sound, but it looks like a regular movie. It is, when I step back, a puzzle made as entertainment. Also let me know I am not a super sophisticated movie consumer, but I am seeing enough to learn a bit. I like movies that stick with you, in a good way. i avoid violent movies and images for that reason.
I would never intentionally misled a reader. I know I often must seem very negative in my comments, but am trying to express a more positive vibe with my usual complaints.
