A German guy (sounding awfully American) and his Bosnian girlfriend have driven into a Bosnian forest to experience the beauty. The previous day she had buried the remains of her parents recently found in a mass grave. So, she wasn't on top of the world which was further complicated by their SUV getting stuck on the lonely single-lane road. Now comes two strangers who seem interested in "helping" them. They are Serbs who force them to their camouflaged hideaway for a round of menacing and violence. The girl invokes her "deity" who helps out and introduces a sliver of the supernatural. Things degenerate even further and her tribal hate rears its ugly head in the end.

Less than stellar performances set against the Bosnian war with rabid Serbs, invoked spirits, and a very strange unexplained ending make for a lot of confusion and angst. Just go straight to 'Hold The Dark' instead.
