Claire Foy doesn't look severe enough to be Lisbeth. Or perhaps I'm overtrained by Noomi and Rooney. Regardless, there are a lot of pretty faces to distract one's attention. Back-on-track, Lisbeth has been haunted by her molesting father for almost all of her life. In a fit of desperation, she fled the family compound and left her sister (Sylvia Hoeks) to his clutches. Now, Lisbeth becomes involved in stolen software (shame on NSA), a kidnapped child, a corrupt Swedish official, and cultivating a symbiotic relationship between herself and an NSA grunt sent to steal it back. This all brings her full circle to you-know-who.
Lots of action, decent character development, good storyline. This one seems simpler but it really isn't. It just feels that way.
4 wonks for characters, story, action, and the chicks
0 wanks as there isn't a lot to complain about
