What an exquisite woman. By any measure. For once the screen had images worth reflecting. For once the theatre speakers got a workout like they never had before. What a great documentary. Saw it at my local Regal theatre. If you love music, go see it. See it on the big screen. I got all teary eyed during the performances and Mila jumped to the front of her seat and applauded with the on screen audience. So many things I could say about this movie. What an interesting time capsule, and chronicle of the decades for one.
Mila so totally flipped out over this movie it took me an hour and a half to calm her down with coffee and pastry. At the end of a very long day too. It was funny, but I can't type all the outrageous things she said. Apparently I'm on the hook now for getting her a lot of Maria Callas records, and a record player to play them on.
Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!
