We finished the first season on Netflix, and she wants more.
Not a bad political drama, set in a small country of Denmark. In that regard it is very different from the far more grandiose production of House of Cards. In addition to that difference, there also is no antagonist to speak of, no simplistic or even evil characters, no overt scumbags, so even the personal clashes are somewhat subdued.
Some situations are hard to swallow though... does the Prime Minister do her own dishes, and does she vacuum her carpet? How does she manage with a husband and two kids and no maid??? All that looks very strange to us, accustomed to 50 car motorcades and Air Force One. But there is undeniable charm in that smallness.
It is, indeed, charming in many ways, and it is reasonably entertaining, so it is easy to recommend.
And my wife... she now can't wait for Season 2.
