If you haven't seen "The Old Man and the Gun" yet, it's on cable pay per view.

I know, Redford. What's left to say? I think this is a superb semi-documentary film about bank robber Forrest Tucker's "career". A man who truly loved his work.

Minimal shooting, car chases, and all the other stereotypical footage of crime movies. That's because this is a semi-fictional description of the man's life, in which he happens to rob banks for fun and profit. The time period for this part of his life, at 75 years old, is the early 80's.

Redford, Sissy Spacek, Casey Affleck and others work this into a great story, well-told and interesting to watch. The script for this film is based on a story about Tucker that was written in New Yorker magazine. Recommended for the six-buck cable fee.
