I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
It's not like any of the other Mad Max movies. Fury Road is a massive blockbuster where everything (including the deafening sound) is amped to the max.
What's great about Fury Road is the old-school stunts. There's CGI, but it's used to enhance the action, not replicate it.
It's also nice to see a blockbuster that doesn't feature guys in spandex. Basically, the movie does what it sets out to do - provide a big slice of Mad Max porn.
The downside? Yeah, in all the non-stop action, there's not much of a story. And forget any character development - everyone is one-dimensional so they can service the plot. When people die you don't feel anything. Don't expect any comic relief (like the sky pilot or the Toadie from The Road Warrior) or witty dialogue.
