Laughed a lot at this overview of the new "modern gal" played by Schumer. Lots of provocative humor and situations with lots of punch lines and schtick. The story made maximum use of LeBron James (portrayed as having to wear Popsicle sticks on his wrists) and other sports figures who cameo'd. James was in four or five scenes so there was a lot of air time for him.
Hader played the sports doctor/surgeon that just happened to fall in love with Schumer. He was all googly eyed and gushing for the well-rounded Amy. They have their ups and downs mostly because her dad (Colin Quinn) drilled into her head that monogamy was just an impractical idea. His garage talk to young Amy and her sister was hilarious.
This "film" isn't a female Woody Allen affair . . . it's for laughs and their are plenty.
Recommending this one is tricky. The language and gags can be off-putting and the overly sensitive (Jane Austen lovers) may be aghast at what comes off the screen. Being a cinematic knuckle dragger I have to admit I liked it....I loiked it a lot.
