Any time there is "Cannes Special Recognition" or some such, make sure your wife leaves the room before the film starts rolling. I know I would be in some SERIOUS troubles had she seen even the opening scene.
What could be said about a film, 70% of its screen time being explicit - and I mean EXPLICIT - sex? I suspect Patrick would call it "artistic", some would definitely call it trash, I just say it is decadent beyond what normally comes here from across the pond.
Part of me was revolting against it, part wanted to see what's next, and a small, but still noticeable part, thought there was a certain artistic element to it, that made it... OK, OK... barely, but watchable.
In fact I am still somewhat under its spell, especially its final part. I am not sorry I watched it, and some of you might even like it, but please, make sure who is watching it with you, as you very well may end up with a bowl of popcorn on your head.
Streaming on Netflix.
