movies. Con2 was just too Disneyfied for me. Elvis sing along? Give me a break. Horror should be nightmarish or relentless. Imitating Elvis breaks up the storyline and eases the sense of urgency. The cheesy romance at the end also reduced the previous emotions generated. Ideally, a person should leave a good horror story unsettled. That's my personal take.
In addition, the best "scares" were in the trailers which I saw half a dozen times. Perhaps those few adrenal spikes other might have experienced were muted in me due to being inoculated by the previews. This has become a big problem with horror and bad comedy film previews.
