1962 "Vivre Sa Vie" with beautiful Anna Karina, by Jean-Luc Godard. Somber look at the oldest profession. Anna is one of my favorite French actresses, and she shines here.
1961 Alain Resnais' "Last Year at Marienbad" is one of the most unusual cinematographic works. Might look too boring for some, but if you manage to break the initial ice, you will find plenty of mesmerizing images down below. Certainly requires long attention span.
